Admission to the school is open to all applicants regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, handicap, or marital status. All applicants must be at least 18 years old. Applicants are accepted into the program based on academic achievement, character references, assessments and personal interviews (telephone or face-to-face).

All applicants must complete the application process and make necessary tuition arrangements prior to the start of class. In considering the applicants' qualifications for admission, all pre-requisites for individual programs must be met. To review the prerequisites for the program of your choice, click here.

Once applicants have been accepted for admission, they can secure a seat in a class by paying a $100.00 registration fee. We encourage prompt registration to complete the intake process in time for orientation. Local students are advised to submit their application for admission in person, at which time they will take a tour of the facilities to assist them in making a final decision on their career goals.

In addition to the admission requirements of the Cardiotech Ultrasound School, international students must meet the codes and standards set by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for admission into the United States. Admission requirements
All candidates must meet the following prerequisites:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a high school graduate or possess the GED
  • Provide two letters of recommendation
Foreign applicants must, in addition,

  • Complete Form I-20 (Foreign Student Visa application form)
  • Submit certified copies of high school graduation or GED-equivalent completion
All applicants must
  • Complete an enrollment agreement form
  • Complete a personal data form
  • Complete the Drug-free Workplace Act document
  • Complete the tour confirmation documentation
  • Complete an assessment test with a minimum score of 70%
  • Submit evidence of good health
After admission documents have been submitted, applications will be reviewed for completeness and evaluated by admission personnel. If all required information is not submitted in a timely manner, the applicant may not be admitted to join a specific class. Applications extending beyond three months in processing will require the student to reapply. The application process is not a confirmation of acceptance or registration in any class.

Cardiotech Ultrasound School has the right to accept or deny any applicant based on the applicant's character reference(s), failure to provide all necessary information, and/or scholastic records.

No student will be admitted unless he/she meets all admission requirements.
Credit for prior education
Prospective students who have received prior training in areas for which they are applying may receive credits towards graduation. Credits granted will be based on interview and testing by Cardiotech if official transcripts are not available. Credits may not exceed 10% of the total credits needed to successfully complete the program. All provided transcripts, testing, and interviews must be completed in time to reach the school at least five working days before the start of a program
Tuition, fees and charges
Students are advised to complete all administrative arrangements at least seven(7) working days prior to the start of a class. Tuition and fees are payable prior to start of class unless other arrangements are made. Tuition and fees for each course are provided in the tuition/fee schedule. Books, uniform, and supplies are not included in the tuition. SLM Financials/Sallie Mae loan is available to qualifying individuals. Students accepted into the school who do not qualify for a loan are required to make a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the program. The balance of the tuition can be paid using the school's payment plan which is available for students needing assistance up to 12 months. The required 25% tuition deposit must be paid at least one week prior to the start of class.

Approximate cost for Books/Uniform/Supplies is
$1,200.00 USD.
Foreign student must pay additional fees as listed in the school catalog. *** Total cost of individual program payable to the school include tuition, registration,and insurance. Foreign students have additional processing fees.
Books, uniform, and supplies are purchased independently by each student. A list of books, uniform, and supplies is provided to all students.
